The Docking Benefice
Pastoral Work
Pastoral Visitors
It isn’t easy for one or two people to have responsibility for the care of
five parishes. So, as a Benefice, we have encouraged a number of our
regular members to get involved in visiting the people from our
churches who, for whatever reason are finding it hard to get to church
and be a part of the services and other social activities that spring
from our church communities.
Our visitors are happy to drop in for a chat and to help keep you up to
date with all that is happening in your parish church and across the
Benefice.
If you would like to receive a visit from a visitor or from the Rector
then, please feel free to call Peter on 01485 517157.
Home Communion
In addition to our pastoral visiting, if you are unable to get along
to church, then we would also be happy to offer you Holy
Communion in your own home.
If this is something that you would like then, again, please call
Peter on 01485 517157.
CITB
As well as being Rector of the Docking Benefice, Peter is also a
chaplain at the CITB. He leads short lunchtime services there in Club
75 at 12:30pm on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month
and, in addition, he is always happy to attend the site to meet and talk
to any member of staff or student who would like his support or his
prayers.
As chaplain, Peter also leads the annual Workers’ Memorial Day
Service (on or around the 28th April each year), and an annual Carol
Service.
If you would like to talk to Peter then please call him on 01485
517157.
